Shipper Owned Containers

In 2013, our parent company, Roberto Bucci SpA, invested in a small fleet of 45ft pallet-wide, 2.550mm extra – width containers, specifically intended for the movement of food produce by both sea and rail shipments.

These food-grade containers can transport Merchandise Unit and standard pallets of canned vegetables such as tomatoes and peas; cartons of dried foods such as pasta; and crates of bottled beer or soft drinks to the highest standards of hygiene – all free from the risk of contamination by previous, non-food loads.

Given the increasing throughput of these containers, RB was compelled to lease additional 40 containers - 45’ 2.500 mm wide (pallet-wide).

Note: the dimensions and characteristics described are purely indicative since each shipping or transport company can have containers with slightly different sizes.
